Dr. John D. Ritrosky, a true product of the scenic Southwest Florida landscape, spent his formative years growing up in the vibrant community of Fort Myers. It’s here, amidst the warmth and beauty of the region, that he first embarked on his academic journey. Graduating from Fort Myers High School was the inaugural step towards a career that would later come to be characterized by excellence and dedication. But it wasn’t just the allure of Southwest Florida that influenced Dr. Ritorsky’s career choice; it was also his rich family heritage steeped in medicine. His father, mother, uncle, brother, and sister are all accomplished physicians, inspiring his own path in the field. He began his academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Science degree from Florida State University, followed by medical school at the University of Florida. Dr. Ritorsky’s surgical expertise was honed through training at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, as well as Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. Driven by a commitment to delivering exceptional cosmetic procedures, he went above and beyond standard requirements, culminating in prestigious aesthetic fellowships in Miami, Florida, and Dallas, Texas.

Dr. Ritrosky has garnered a stellar reputation in Southwest Florida, known both within the local community and among his fellow medical professionals for his unwavering commitment to perfectionism and an acute attention to detail. The American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS) has recognized his rigorous training and qualifications as a plastic surgeon, affirmed by his successful completion of all qualifying exams. Dr. Ritrosky is also a proud member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), an organization that upholds the gold standard for board certification, safety, and ethical practice. His dedication to ongoing education, particularly in the realm of patient safety techniques, is a testament to the standard of care he upholds himself to. Furthermore, his membership in the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) signifies his specialization in cosmetic plastic surgery of the face and body. Founded in 1967, ASAPS brings together plastic surgeons certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, making it a hallmark of expertise in the field. Membership in ASAPS is a privilege extended to a select few, with only around a quarter of all American Board of Plastic Surgery-certified surgeons receiving this honor.

Dr. Ritrosky’s practice is located at 13981 McGregor Boulevard, Fort Myers. The state-of-the-art facility was meticulously designed, showcasing not only Dr. Ritrosky’s medical expertise, but also his artistic flair. The office boasts a serene ambiance, complete with a cascading water feature in the main lobby and a spa-like environment characterized by rich earth-toned decor. In recognition of its excellence, the building received awards in 2009 for best interior design and best design-build project. Attached to this practice is our Pacaya Bay Surgery Center, an impressive facility accredited by AAAHC.
